Saving favorite helpers
Tap the heart on any helper to save them. Saved helpers live on /favorites with one-tap re-book — the matching engine routes new requests to them first when they're online.
Most customers settle on a small handful of helpers they trust — the one who always nails the grocery list, the one who's great with the dog, the one who's been at three of their kids' birthdays. Saved helpers turn that recurring trust into a single tap.
How to save a helper
- From any helper's public profile (/providers/[id]): tap the "Save helper" pill under their name.
- From your booking page (/bookings/[id]): tap the heart icon on the helper row.
- Hearts turn rose-pink when saved. Tap again to un-save.
Booking a saved helper again
Open /favorites and tap "Book again" on any saved helper card. The new-request screen opens with the helper marked as preferred — when you submit, the matching engine offers the task to them first instead of broadcasting to the whole pool. If they don't accept within a couple of minutes (or they're offline), the request rolls out to everyone else qualified.
Frequently asked
- Does saving a helper share my info with them? +
- No — saving is private to your account. The helper doesn't get a notification and isn't told they've been saved. The only signal they see is a slightly higher rate of repeat bookings from you.
- How many helpers can I save? +
- There's no hard cap. In practice most customers settle on three to five for different task categories — one for errands, one for home help, one for pet care.
- What if a saved helper leaves Helpward? +
- Their card stays in your favorites with a status badge so you know not to count on them. We don't auto-remove because you might want to remember the name for a possible return.
- Cancelling or rescheduling a bookingCancel a pending request for free from /bookings. Once a helper has accepted, cancellation policies depend on how close you are to the scheduled time.
- Setting up a recurring bookingSchedule a weekly, biweekly, or monthly task once and Helpward materialises the next occurrence as a real booking 48 hours before it's due. Pause, resume, skip a single date, or cancel the whole series any time.
- Bundling multiple tasks in one tripStack up to 5 tasks into a single request and pay one service fee. The helper completes each stop in order and you watch progress live as each item is marked done.
